Okay, I wanted share a quick video on how I go about purchasing a domain name, where I get the domain name availabilities, and even the ideas for keywords….
Before you go out and purchase a domain name or even check for domain name availability go check out my latest video
How should you truly pick out your names?
As you can see in the video, I personally like to purchase a domain name that have high ranking keywords already embedded. Doing so, your website will simply rank higher in the search engines.
I think it’s still undecided wither you should purchase a domain name that’s short – since they are simple to type out, simple to remember , and less subject to typos – OR longer site names, since they are better remembered…
What do you think?
I say, it isn’t the length that matters so much, when checking for a domain name availability. I’ve seen long and short names rank alike. Regardless, who in the world goes up types in their URL, manually?
For me, about 99% of the time I merely type whatever I’m looking for right into Google and select the first one that pops up – it’s usually right. This is the very reason why I believe it’s so important to have your keywords when you check for your domain name availability.
So how do you pick yours?

Hi Alex,
That’s a really useful tip about bulk searching GoDaddy for domains with keywords.
I’m only just discovering the need to set up micro sites for niche marketing, so this information has come at the right time for me.
Thanks

I simply do both – buy a long domain name with keywords and also a shorter one that’s easy to remember. Then I integrate the two. Works well.

Hi Alex, I just want to share that my blog was born out of the law of attraction. I have this goal to achieve a millionaire status someday. Applying the law of attraction, I thought ahead that I was indeed a millionaire and that’s why it was called “Millionaire Acts”.

Hey Alex,
What have you been up to lately. I see you’re promoting Micro Niche Finder. James is a cool dude.
Let me know if you want a copy of the interview I did with him last year on how he built his business.
Speak soon,

I do it pretty much like you have done it, Alex. It depends. Until I took the MWA course I was building micro niche sites and was always trying to get exact matches for long tail keywords.
Buying my name as a domain and branding myself was in practice not what I have learned up to this point.
